How we handle first enquiries

We do not route initial enquiries through a call centre or an automated scheduling tool. Every message is read by a person.

When you contact The Co, your message goes directly to the advisor who manages new client relationships — not to a general inbox monitored by an assistant. We aim to respond within one business day with a short acknowledgement and a proposed time for a thirty-minute introductory call. During that call, the advisor will ask a small number of questions to understand your situation and to confirm whether our practice is the right fit for your needs. There is no fee for the introductory call, and there is no obligation to proceed. We believe the engagement relationship begins at the first contact, and we conduct ourselves accordingly from that moment forward.

Three reasons clients reach out

The most common starting points — each leads to the same first step: a confidential call.

A liquidity event is approaching

A business sale, an inheritance, or the disposal of a significant property holding creates a window — and a risk — that demands structural attention before the proceeds arrive. Clients who contact us at the planning stage, rather than after the event, consistently achieve better outcomes. We can be engaged within days of a first call.

Succession is becoming urgent

Health changes, the approaching majority of children, or a growing awareness of jurisdictional exposure often prompt families to seek a structured review. We work calmly and without pressure, but we also work quickly when timelines are constrained — succession planning that begins too late is significantly more expensive than planning that begins now.

An existing structure needs auditing

Many clients come to us after suspecting — but not confirming — that their current arrangements contain gaps. A standing holding company, an insurance policy purchased a decade ago, a private trust established in another jurisdiction: each of these deserves a fresh review against the client's current circumstances, risk profile, and regulatory environment.

On the first contact experience

“I contacted The Co on a Tuesday afternoon, and by Wednesday morning Tomáš himself had replied with three specific questions and a proposed call slot for Thursday. By the end of that thirty-minute call I had a clear sense of exactly what they could and could not do for our situation — no vague promises, no pressure, just a precise and honest assessment. I signed the engagement letter the following week.”
